A lazy day

Today has been real quiet and everyone is lounging. I did manage to take Sheba for a short walk this morning while it was breezy and cooler. I found some milkweed plant going to seed so I broke off a piece to save for my butterfly garden I am planning. I daresay I have enough seed to grow quite a bit.

I put it in a plastic bag and popped all the seed pods open and.got a lot of seed.

Also managed to do some housework. That is the one thing about having MS and TM is that I can't clean house the way I used to. Oh well there are much worse problems to have. Jim helps out and I appreciate that. I just wish I could do as much as I wanted and not have to worry about overdoing it or ending up in more pain because of it. I have been trying to decrease the clutter . It is mostly my stuff that makes the house messy. Any ideas. I don't want to get rid of my craft things because I know I will use them but I end up with piles here and there and then I am overwhelmed and don't know what to do with it all. I welcome all suggestions. Help this girl out !!!

Here are some pics of my babies helping me clean house.

I plan to work on my wolf next.

Does anyone have a good.recipe for sugar free blueberry pie and cobbler using splenda?

It's A wolf day.

Today I woke up feeling a whole lot better. I actually got some good rest and only woke up once. Being on the steroids made it impossible to sleep more than a few hours. So I think I'm over the hump with this upper respiratory infection. Jim is doing a lot.better too. He coughed so much before that he couldn't sleep many nights. In fact he had to sleep in his reclined for about a week.

Last night I finished Debbie Macombers new book A Turn in the Road. It was very good as all her books are. I really haven't read a book she has written that I didn't absolutely enjoy.

Here is my project on my wolf. The first is yesterday and the next is today. I think its coming along nicely.

I went outside to potty Sheba this morning and found my hybiscus flowers blooming. They are special because they came from seeds from Jim's family's old house. I took a few other flower pics too.

here is the milkweed getting ready to flower. Looking forward to some Monarchs.

And here is the update on my Wolf.

One more to leave you with. Sheba says blessed stitching.

I won a giveaway

I found out a few days ago I had won a giveaway from Teresa's Heartfelt Stitches. She decided to do this giveaway because she felt blessed by all the friendships she has made through blogging. She stitched a beautiful notebook cover that I will absolutely cherish. I plan to use it to journal about stitchy stuff and friends I make blogging.

So today I checked the mail and it was here in a pretty pink bubble wrap package.

And inside were all these cute pink packages..

The card was really nice and was also pink with sparkles. I love sparkles.

And here is what was in those pink packages.

Here is a nice card I got today from my friend and neighbor growing up, Marie.

Here is the progress on my patriotic quilt.

A little progress

Got a little more progress on my Shaker sewing box. I now have what Jim does so he is taking me to the doctor tonite. Strep throat and it seems what settled in his sinuses is in my upper chest. We both feel pretty yucky.

Shaker Stitching Box

I decided to kit up a new start yesterday. If you know me well you know that I have a large collection of cross stitching magazines. One of my favorites is by Jeremiah Junction called Cross Country Stitching. I have a few years of subscriptions of it and love the designs.

I've said this before that one of my main goals I'm stitching is to cover our walls in scripture. This magazine uses scripture in almost all of the designs. I can't believe I haven't stitched one before. I have been guilty of that a lot where I would get subscriptions to the magazines but not make any. For the longest time I stitched only kits. Sure I will still do those but I have been focusing on the wealth of patterns I have on hand already. So here is what I am working on.....

I love seeing the colors on the card next to my project. I find myself running my fingers through them and watching how the colors look next to each other. Doors anybody else do that?

The design comes from Cross Country Stitching Feb.2003

Got some nice cards in the mail the other day. Thank-you to everyone.who has been praying for my recovery during my hospitalization. I really feel blessed by all of you.

Also I found out yesterday I won the giveaway at Theresa's Heartfelt Stitches. What a treat!!! You can see her blog at Theresa's Heartfelt Stitches

Magnolia dresser scarf by Bucilla

I was doing some cleaning and I was elated to find.a project I have been hunting for a while now. I started this last summer and fell in love with it. It was one of those things you find at a garage sale and it is so pretty. I will probably use it as a table runner but who knows.

A good day to be home.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

My daily prayer study today is focused on walking in trust. It reminds is of the hymn Trust and Obey. There is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.

Our last week has been definitely a journey of faith on trust. Most of you know that we woke up July 4th to a real firecracker, bomb bursting in the air situation....I was unable to move from the high waist down. It certainly was very frightening for all of us. Jim's sister, Pam had just come down from Michigan to stay the week and celebrate my hubby's birthday. We surely didn't imagine this happening. None of us knew if I would walk again. I really had given in to the thought that I wouldn't. But who am I to put a limit on what God can do. Have any of you watched the movie, Facing the Giants? I love the coaches and his wires mantra... Whats impossible with God? NOTHING is impossible with God. Sure enough as the iv steroids got into my system.. feeling began to come back and then movement. The hardest struggle was the pain. When the muslin sheath of nerves get ruined the insulation or protective coating dies and the signals that would normally flow through on a perfect fluid path end up in all different places and interpreted in different ways. They tend to go hypersensitive and fire off rapid and at any time. It was finally Monday night that the pain sensations turned from really intense and searing to just an overexcited stage but not so much painful as more of an intense tickle. God has been by our side through it all strengthening us cams seeing us through. I am thankful to God for having Pam here when it happened. She really helped Jim to get through it and they held each other up and myself as well. Pam is my best friend and I love her dearly. I am so blessed to have her as my sister. We all made the best of it determined to not let what was happening to steal our joy or ruin our celebration of Jim's birthday. God brought us through this trial no worse for the ware .

Pam brought me.the cutest little box made by my favorite nature artist, Marjolein Bastin. Isn't it adorable.

I thought I would also share with you my letter and card wall as I have had a few friends send off cards.

Thank-you everyone cor your prayers , cards, and kindness. I am still recovering and will be for a little while so keep the prayers coming. All the while I will be stitching my little heart out.
Blessed Stitching
